Getting to know Barnacle Bay Rides

Barnacle Bay Tours falls under the umbrella of Barnacle Bay Rides which is the original idea between friends Dee Peine and Morven & Mandy Maclean.

TUXEDO

Tuxedo

The powerboat, Tuxedo is owned by Dee Peine who also runs the charter side. Dee & Morven are Qualified Tour Guides with a NQF2 certification. Tuxedo was built by Steve Burnell in 1998. Steve is also the full time skipper on Tuxedo so even though he no longer owns her he still gets to have all the fun less the expense! Steve has an amazing knowledge of the sea and if it happened in Algoa bay, he helped build it, dived it, towed it, worked on it, knew the guys who did it – denied it. He is our skipper and we’re very proud of it. On Tuxedo you are in safe hands.

BLUE PEARL ADVENTURES

Morven runs his super duck, Blue Pearl and does the adventure rides, scientific research charters for the whale, dolphin, shark and fishing trips. Under the adventure rides Morven also takes out the Noordhoek divers on Blue Pearl with Sean who also has a duck – Serendipity, on the wild side. Morven has a great love of the sea and will always go out of his way to help out. Blue Pearl can be seen all over the bay helping out. Above all, we are friends with an amazing network of good friends who have supported us every step of the way.
